Responsibilities:
- Operate computed tomography (CT) equipment to obtain precise cross-sectional images of patients bones, organs, and tissue
- Carry out various imaging procedures, including general radiography and fluoroscopy, ensuring adherence to safety and procedural protocols
- Position patients appropriately for each exam and provide clear instructions to ensure their comfort and safety
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to deliver accurate diagnostic information
- Monitor and maintain imaging equipment, reporting any malfunctions or needs for repair promptly
- Complete patient documentation accurately and uphold strict confidentiality standards
- Follow infection control standards and ensure proper patient identification procedures
Qualifications:
- Current registration or certification in radiologic technology, with CT specialty training
- Demonstrated experience performing CT scans and a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures
- Comprehensive understanding of anatomy, imaging techniques, and patient safety protocols
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, able to reassure and interact positively with diverse patient populations
- Detail-oriented with the ability to deliver high-quality images efficiently
- Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic healthcare environment
