Key Qualifications:

• Previous experience in CT imaging is required
• ARRT (CT) certification preferred
• Knowledge of patient safety protocols and proper lifting techniques
• Experience with image capture, storage, and transfer systems
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to respond efficiently during emergency medical situations, including providing basic CPR

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate computerized tomography (CT) equipment, ensuring patient safety and image quality
• Accurately position and transfer patients, employing effective immobilization devices as needed
• Collect patient history, confirm identification, and monitor for allergies or reactions
• Prepare and inject contrast media in accordance with radiologist protocols
• Produce and archive high-quality diagnostic images while maintaining proper records and digital files
• Manage daily patient schedules in coordination with department staff
• Calibrate, maintain, and perform quality control on CT equipment, ensuring timely repairs
• Support and instruct new personnel; assist radiologists and physician specialists during advanced procedures
• Adhere to regulatory standards and safety protocols established by the Michigan Department of Public Health
• Maintain clean workspaces and sufficient inventory of supplies
