Schedule/Hours:

  • Travel assignment (specific schedule to be coordinated)

Role Responsibilities:

  • Review patient history and physicians orders
  • Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment, and what to expect to maximize comfort and cooperation
  • Position patients and perform imaging procedures with a focus on quality and safety
  • Assess age-specific needs to tailor patient care
  • Conduct nuclear medicine imaging and therapy in accordance with professional standards and protocols
  • Analyze imaging results, troubleshoot quality concerns, and take appropriate action (repositioning, repeating procedures as necessary)
  • Enter, transmit, and report scan results accurately
  • Administer, store, and dispose of radiopharmaceuticals per regulation
  • Monitor patient condition throughout the procedure and report/respond to changes promptly
  • Maintain a well-supplied, organized imaging environment

Desired Qualifications:

  • CT certified with PET/CT experience
  • ARRT CT and NM certification or CNMT by NMTCB (NYS license required)
  • BLS (American Heart Association)
  • Minimum of two years imaging experience
  • Preferred but not required: familiarity with GE or Philips PET scanners
