This position enables you to work alongside accomplished healthcare teams in a Level 1 Trauma Center, collaborating closely with physicians and learning from a range of leadership styles. Schedule/Hours:
- Travel assignment (specific hours may vary based on department needs)
Qualifications & Experience:
- Graduate of an approved School of Radiologic Technology
- Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- NYS license (must be obtained before starting); injection therapy certification required and must appear on license upon submission
- Minimum of two (2) years experience
- Experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center
- BLS American Heart Association certification
- Preferred: Injection certification (open to completing during orientation), familiarity with Philips and Siemens equipment
Key Responsibilities:
- Confirm patient identity and exam verification with strict adherence to department policy for safety
- Prepare patients for imaging scans, provide clear communication, and ensure patient comfort
- Coordinate with physicians to obtain high-quality diagnostic images
- Insert IVs as necessary, position patients safely (including those with limited mobility)
- Accurately document procedures in EPIC and ensure images are properly stored in PACS
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of the scanning facility
