Preferred Background and Skills:
- Certified in Computed Tomography (CT)
- Registered with ARRT (CT)
- Proficient in operating CT scanners and related imaging technology
- Strong grasp of anatomy, positioning, and imaging protocols
- Proven experience working in acute care or hospital environments
- Current BLS certification required
- Outstanding communication skills and a patient-focused approach
- Detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform CT scans following physician orders and facility protocols
- Verify patient information and educate patients about procedures
- Ensure imaging quality and patient safety throughout the examination
- Accurately document imaging processes, maintaining patient records and privacy
- Collaborate with radiologists and medical staff to support optimal diagnostic outcomes
- Monitor equipment status and coordinate routine maintenance needs
- Apply infection control and radiation safety standards in all procedures
- Assist with other departmental tasks as needed to maintain efficient workflow
