An opportunity is available for an experienced CT technologist skilled in advanced imaging techniques to support a dedicated Emergency Department in Orange Park, FL. This contract role offers the chance to work with a skilled team in a respected medical center emphasizing trauma and stroke patient care. The position is primarily overnight, providing a consistent schedule of Monday through Thursday from 9 pm to 7:30 am with four 10-hour shifts and no weekend requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform standard CT scans with a focus on trauma and stroke protocols in the Emergency Department.
- Utilize and maintain imaging equipment including GE and Siemens scanners.
- Employ advanced image reformatting skills, preferably with Terra Recon or similar platforms.
- Document accurately using Meditech and GE Centricity systems.
- Support the units fast-paced environment adhering to AIDET communication principles to ensure a patient-focused experience.
- Collaborate with a highly skilled team including unit secretaries and techs to maintain efficient turnover times.
- Float to main CT department as needed.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Certified ARRT CT technologist with valid Florida license.
- Minimum one year of hands-on CT experience.
- Proficient with GE imaging systems.
- Experience with trauma and stroke cases.
- Familiarity with advanced image reformatting platforms considered a plus.
- Current BLS certification required.
