A skilled imaging technologist with expertise in Computed Tomography (CT) is sought for a contract opportunity in Newton Lower Falls, MA. This position involves performing a variety of CT procedures and duties under the supervision of qualified physicians and technical specialists, adhering to prescribed levels of ionizing radiation. The role requires operating imaging equipment to obtain diagnostic-quality images for patients ranging from newborn to geriatric, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Perform CT imaging procedures with accuracy and professionalism.
- Operate and maintain CT imaging equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images of specified body parts.
- Administer and manage IV insertion and removal safely.
- Follow established protocols and safety measures to protect patients from ionizing radiation.
- Provide compassionate care tailored to the needs and behaviors of adult and older adult patients.
- Maintain proper documentation of procedures and patient information.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to provide optimal imaging services.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- Minimum of 1 year of radiology experience is required.
- Knowledge of adult and geriatric patient care is preferred.
- State of Massachusetts Radiation Control Board licensure.
- ARRT certification as RT (R) or RT (N) required.
- ARRT certification in Computed Tomography preferred; ability to obtain within one year if not held at hire.
- CPR certification mandatory.
