Job Description
Perform a range of Computed Tomography (CT) procedures utilizing prescribed levels of ionizing radiation under the supervision of qualified medical and technical professionals. This role involves operating imaging equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images, catering to patients across the lifespan from newborns to geriatric individuals. The position requires proficiency in IV insertion and removal as part of patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute a variety of CT imaging procedures in compliance with federal, state, and facility policies.
- Collaborate closely with physicians, technical specialists, and management to ensure optimal patient care.
- Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation.
- Adhere to safety protocols concerning radiation use.
- Provide compassionate care to patients, acknowledging their unique needs and behaviors.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- Minimum of one year of radiology experience.
- Licensed by the State Radiation Control Board.
- Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) as RT(R) or RT(N).
- Preferred registration in Computed Tomography; if not currently certified, one year is provided to obtain CT licensure.
- CPR certification is required.
- Experience and understanding of adult and older adult patient needs are advantageous.
