Job Description

A skilled CT technologist position is available on a contract basis in Newton, KS, at a well-established adult hospital with a supportive imaging department. This role offers the opportunity to work primarily with Siemens Somatom Plus 128-slice CT scanner on a variety of adult and occasional pediatric cases in a fast-paced emergency and inpatient setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform CT imaging procedures including head, cervical spine, chest, abdomen, pelvis, CTA chest/neck/abdomen, occasional CTA cardiac studies, and stroke protocols.
  • Independently operate advanced imaging equipment with attention to safety and quality.
  • Support the imaging team by cross-covering X-ray duties when needed.
  • Collaborate effectively with healthcare teams across departments to ensure prompt and accurate diagnostic services.
  • Adhere to departmental protocols including dressing in black scrubs and maintaining professional conduct.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Active and valid KSBHA license required.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in CT imaging, preferably with Siemens scanner proficiency.
  • Ability to work independently, problem solve, and adapt to fluctuating patient volumes.
  • Dependable, punctual, and able to maintain a positive, cooperative attitude.
  • Experience supporting or covering other imaging modalities such as X-ray is a plus.
