A dynamic opportunity is available for an experienced Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist in Macon, GA, at a well-established healthcare facility known for its commitment to quality care and advanced medical services. This contract position offers the chance to work in a Level 1 Trauma center and teaching hospital with specialized centers including chest pain and stroke care.
Responsibilities:
- Perform CT imaging procedures on inpatients, outpatients, and emergency room patients using GE scanners and Philips PACS technology.
- Execute precise IV starts to prepare patients for imaging studies.
- Collaborate closely with clinical staff while adhering to the protocols within an inclusive departmental culture.
- Operate within the facilitys EMR system (EPIC) for documentation and information management.
- Participate in orientation and ongoing education to maintain facility standards and enhance skills.
- Work flexible shifts within a 13-week schedule cycle, including holiday coverage but no weekend rotation or on-call duties.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4 years experience as a CT Technologist.
- Active ARRT (CT) certification.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Proficiency with IV insertion.
- Familiarity with hospital-based PACS and EMR systems.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced Level 1 Trauma center environment.
- First-time travelers are not considered for this position.
