Job Description

A healthcare facility in Jacksonville, FL, is seeking a skilled CT Imaging Technologist for a contract position. This role demands expertise in CT imaging, including advanced skills in stroke patient protocols, and experience with X-Ray and CT post-processing. The position operates in a busy CT unit within an emergency department setting, providing a dynamic and rewarding work environment.

Responsibilities include performing all CT and X-ray exams with precision, utilizing advanced equipment such as GE Tempo, GE Maxima CT, and AMX systems. You will document using Meditech and GE Centricity PACS systems and must demonstrate professional, empathic patient interactions at all times. Scheduling requires working every other weekend and holidays on rotation with hospital staff, with opportunities to pick up extra shifts at other nearby sites.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • ARRT certification in Radiography and CT (ARRT (R, CT))
  • CPR certification
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in CT imaging preferred
  • Proficient in CT imaging, including stroke protocols, and X-Ray exams
  • Knowledge of CT post-processing techniques
  • Ability to work with unit secretaries and techs in a team environment
  • Professional demeanor with strong patient care skills
