This opportunity centers on advanced imaging services, specifically Computed Tomography (CT), within a dynamic emergency room setting in Houston, TX. The role involves working on the main floor of a busy ER department, utilizing both fixed and portable imaging equipment to support rapid diagnostics and patient care.
Location:
Houston is a thriving metropolitan area known for its diverse culture, strong healthcare sector, and vibrant community. This position is based in a well-equipped emergency room facility that provides critical imaging services around the clock, ensuring prompt and accurate diagnostic support for emergency cases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform all ordered emergency department X-ray and CT examinations with precision and efficiency.
- Operate fixed and portable CT imaging equipment to meet urgent diagnostic needs.
- Collaborate closely with clinical staff in a fast-paced trauma environment to deliver high-quality imaging services.
- Maintain strict compliance with safety and imaging protocols.
- Utilize EMR systems such as Expanse and Meditech for accurate data collection and record-keeping.
Qualifications / Desired Experience:
- ARRT certification required.
- Certified in Computed Tomography (CT).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Experience in trauma or emergency imaging preferred.
- Strong teamwork skills and ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary environment.
Schedule & Work Environment:
- Full time, variable shifts including potential weekends and on-call hours.
- Team includes 3 full-time staff covering both day and night shifts with 1:1 patient ratios.
Additional Details:
- Scrub attire in green is required.
- Contract position with potential for flexible scheduling based on operational needs.
