This role is ideal for a professional dedicated to accuracy, safety, and patient comfort while working across diverse healthcare settings such as outpatient centers, mobile units, and inpatient facilities.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure patient safety through thorough pre-screening, aseptic injection techniques, and adherence to radiation safety protocols.
- Produce superior PET/CT diagnostic images by accurately interpreting physician orders and selecting optimal imaging parameters.
- Communicate effectively with patients, radiologists, and healthcare team members.
- Train new technologists and patient coordinators on imaging procedures and equipment.
- Troubleshoot imaging equipment, including scanners, mobile coaches, monitors, PACS, and coils.
- Adapt to various clinical environments and comply with local travel requirements.
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Dual certification in Nuclear Medicine and Computed Tomography (NMTCB or ARRT(N) and ARRT(CT)).
- Valid state licensure and AHA BLS/CPR certification.
- High school diploma or GED required; Associates degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Minimum of one year PET and/or PET/CT experience, with additional experience in X-ray or CT imaging.
- Demonstrated proficiency in venipuncture.
- Willingness to travel and work at multiple locations throughout Indiana.
