Exceptional PET/CT Technologist Opportunity in Greenville, NC (Contract)

This role focuses on delivering compassionate, high-quality PET/CT imaging services without the requirement of CT certification. The selected technologist will demonstrate outstanding communication skills to educate and reassure patients throughout the imaging process, ensuring their comfort, safety, and overall positive experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure patient safety by conducting thorough pre-screening for contraindications, applying aseptic injection techniques, and adhering to radiation safety protocols.
• Produce superior quality diagnostic PET/CT images that support accurate physician diagnosis and treatment planning.
• Communicate effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and radiologists to facilitate smooth imaging procedures.
• Assist in training new technologists and patient coordinators.
• Troubleshoot imaging equipment including scanners, mobile coaches, monitors, PACS, and coils to maintain optimal function.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• High school diploma or GED required; Associates Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Certification in Nuclear Medicine (NMTCB or ARRT RT(N)) is mandatory.
• Valid state license as applicable.
• CPR certification required.
• 1-2 years of experience in PET/PETCT imaging with adequate knowledge of Nuclear Medicine procedures.
• Ability to perform local travel as necessary.

Contract Details: This is a contract position offering exposure to various clinical settings including freestanding outpatient centers, mobile coaches, or hospital-based environments.
