Schedule/Hours:
- Travel assignment
Required Experience and Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology
- Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification
- Valid New York State radiologic technologist licensure (must be obtained prior to start)
- Injection therapy certification listed on NYS license at time of submission (or willingness to complete during orientation)
- Minimum of 2 years CT experience
- Level 1 Trauma Center experience required
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with Philips and Siemens imaging equipment
- Injection certification preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Compassionate, patient-focused mindset
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative clinical team
Key Responsibilities:
- Confirm patient identity and verify exam per department safety protocols
- Coordinate with physicians to ensure appropriate diagnostic imaging
- Prepare patients for scans, explaining procedures to promote comfort and compliance
- Insert IVs as required for certain examinations
- Position and assist patients, utilizing safe patient-handling techniques
- Accurately document all imaging procedures within EPIC and ensure timely transmission to PACS
- Maintain a clean and safe work area at all times
