Schedule/Hours:
- Travel assignment
- Shifts and flexibility based on facility needs
Required Qualifications:
- CT certification with PET/CT experience
- ARRT - CT credential
- NMTCB - CT credential
- Certified as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) by NMTCB or registered as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) with ARRT certification in Nuclear Medicine (NM)
- Active New York State License
- Current BLS from American Heart Association
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
- Preferred knowledge of GE PET or Philips PET Scanners (not required)
Key Responsibilities:
- Review patient history and physician orders to ensure safety and optimal imaging outcomes
- Educate and prepare patients for imaging exams, adapting communication and approach to their specific needs
- Operate imaging equipment, position patients appropriately, and perform diagnostic imaging procedures
- Analyze images for quality; repeat studies or reposition patients as needed to obtain the best results
- Accurately enter, transmit, and report scan outcomes in the appropriate systems
- Handle radiopharmaceuticals safely according to regulatory guidelines
- Monitor patient status and respond promptly to any changes during exams
- Maintain inventory and ensure the clinical environment is fully stocked and organized
