Seeking a skilled CT Technologist to deliver high-quality imaging services in a dynamic healthcare environment. This contract role offers an excellent opportunity to utilize your CT and radiologic expertise while working alongside a dedicated medical team.
Qualifications:
- Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification with CT specialization
- Active and unrestricted radiologic technologist license
- Demonstrated experience operating and maintaining CT scanners and related imaging equipment
- Proficiency in patient positioning, image acquisition, and protocol optimization
- Knowledge of radiation safety protocols and infection control procedures
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient care
- Basic life support (BLS) certification required
- Familiarity with digital imaging and PACS systems preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform high-quality CT scans as ordered by physicians, ensuring optimal image quality for diagnosis and patient safety
- Prepare and position patients for procedures while explaining processes and addressing concerns to ensure comfort and cooperation
- Monitor equipment performance and perform routine quality control checks
- Collaborate with radiologists and physicians to provide accurate and timely imaging results
- Document procedures, maintain patient records, and update imaging archives
- Administer contrast materials as required, adhering to safety guidelines for reactions or complications
- Ensure work area and equipment are cleaned, disinfected, and maintained according to established protocols
