Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of CT imaging experience with strong vascular imaging knowledge
  • Active ACR CT accreditation
  • Current BLS (AHA) certification
  • Valid IEMA (Illinois) state license
  • Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records system
  • Preferred experience operating GE imaging equipment
  • Level 1 trauma center experience highly advantageous

Location Details: Situated in Des Plaines, Illinois, the facility boasts over 270 licensed beds and holds a Primary Stroke Center designation as well as Magnet recognition for nursing excellence. The unit includes 4 CT beds and manages approximately 50 patients per shift, focusing on both inpatient and outpatient vascular and general CT imaging cases. Convenient free parking is available on site, and the dress code requires Caribbean Blue scrubs, which must be provided and worn by the technologist.

Responsibilities include conducting CT scans with a focus on vascular and general patient needs, maintaining equipment proficiency, adhering to safety protocols, accurately documenting procedures using EPIC, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care.
