- Travel assignment, flexible scheduling options
Key Qualifications:
- Proficient in all computerized tomography scanning procedures
- Experience operating and calibrating advanced CT equipment
- Active registry as required by regulatory agencies
- Ability to apply safety and proper lifting techniques when transferring and positioning patients
- Skilled in preparing and injecting IV contrast media following protocols
- Current CPR certification and knowledge of emergency response
Primary Responsibilities:
- Coordinate, set up, and monitor CT computer operations per patient, ensuring adherence to safety standards
- Obtain and verify proper patient identification and clinical history for accurate diagnostics
- Prepare imaging studies, process and store images electronically, and manage image archival
- Maintain daily calibration and quality control of CT equipment, initiating prompt repairs if needed
- Monitor patients during scanning proceduresrecognizing allergic reactions and providing necessary care
- Offer instruction to new staff and support radiologists with specialized procedures
- Contribute to continuous quality improvement and departmental assessments
- Maintain inventory levels and workspace cleanliness according to department protocols
