Schedule/Hours:

  • Rotating shifts; flexibility to cover multiple clinics and provide on-call support as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program.
  • Current Massachusetts State Radiologic Technologist license.
  • ARRT (R) and ARRT (CT) certification required; must maintain CT certification.
  • Level 1 trauma and Siemens CT experience required.
  • 2-3 years experience as a Radiologic Technologist preferred; at least 1 year with cross-sectional anatomy coursework.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to communicate with patients under stress.
  • Analytical ability to master advanced imaging techniques and anatomy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate CT equipment to obtain diagnostic images as per established protocols.
  • Prepare, position, and shield patients appropriately; explain exams and ensure privacy.
  • Float between radiology clinics and divisions, providing responsive coverage.
  • Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot equipment; manage necessary paperwork and information systems.
  • Perform venipuncture for contrast administration per policy.
  • Attend meetings and maintain required continued education units (CEUs).
  • Mentor students and staff; stock, prepare, and maintain workspaces.
  • Participate in research, QA, and improvement initiatives.
  • Safely transfer and transport patients as needed.
  • Apply independent judgment in a variety of clinical scenarios.
