Advance your career in diagnostic imaging by supporting a busy healthcare facility as an imaging specialist with a focus on CT. This contract opportunity offers the chance to deliver high-quality patient care and utilize cutting-edge technology in a dynamic environment.
Schedule:
- 3:00pm 11:30pm shift
- On-call for consecutive shifts to cover evenings 12 nights per week
- Must be available for holiday coverage, as needed
Key Qualifications:
- Proficient in CT imaging techniques
- Experience with or ability to quickly learn Siemens CT scanners preferred
- Comfortable working with Epic (EMR) systems
- Strong attention to detail in imaging acquisition and patient safety
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to manage shifting priorities and maintain composure in fast-paced settings
- Current credentials in radiologic technology and any required state licensure/certification for CT technologists
Primary Responsibilities:
- Operate CT imaging equipment to acquire diagnostic scans in accordance with physician orders and safety protocols
- Interact compassionately with patients, explaining procedures and ensuring comfort throughout
- Properly document studies and patient encounters using Epic EMR
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standards of patient care
- Maintain equipment and report any operational issues promptly
- Adhere strictly to radiation safety and infection control policies
- Participate in call rotations and adjust to schedule changes as required by department needs
