This opportunity focuses on operating CT imaging equipment in a dynamic outpatient setting to produce high-quality diagnostic scans. The role requires preparing and managing CT scanners based on physician orders while providing attentive patient care throughout the imaging process. You will work Monday through Friday on a schedule of four 10-hour shifts, from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., delivering routine outpatient CT exams with accuracy and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and operate CT scanners following physician orders and departmental protocols
- Verify patient identification, input requisition details, and maintain accurate records in the RIS system
- Assist patients onto scanners, explain procedures considering individual needs, and ensure patient compliance
- Adjust scanner and injector settings for manual and automated technical factors to optimize image quality
- Archive completed scans onto local media and transmit images correctly to PACS system
- Maintain cleanliness and proper order of imaging facilities
- Stay informed on outpatient procedures and policies within the CT department
- Ensure all exams are properly labeled and documented prior to image transmission
Desired Qualifications:
- ARRT or NMTCB registration for Radiography (R), Computed Tomography (T), or Nuclear Medicine (N)
- Applicable state licensure for CT imaging
- Proven competency in routine outpatient CT exams and technical protocols
- Strong communication skills to explain procedures and address patient needs effectively
- Attention to detail in documentation and imaging transmission
- Ability to work independently under general supervision
