A healthcare opportunity is available in Aurora, IL, seeking an experienced professional skilled in CT imaging to perform computerized tomographic procedures essential for diagnosing disease and injury. This contract position emphasizes accuracy, patient care, and adherence to established protocols.
Responsibilities include preparing and positioning patients, selecting anatomical and technical parameters, administering contrast media and/or medications within the accepted scope of practice and regulations, observing patients during procedures, and reporting any abnormal activity. Attention to radiation safety procedures and continuous monitoring and recommending updates to protocols are critical to this role.
Qualifications:
- BLS Provider certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross), to be obtained within 30 days of hire or job transfer.
- Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) Radiologic Technologist credential, required prior to hire or transfer.
- One or more of the following credentials obtained prior to hire or transfer:
- Nuclear Medical Technologist certified by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).
- Computed Tomography Specialty Certification NMTCB(CT) or ARRT(CT) in addition to CNMT.
- Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Nuclear Medicine or Radiation Therapy specialty credentials are also acceptable.
- Radiologic Technologist specializing in Computed Tomography certified by ARRT.
