Schedule / Hours
- 13-week assignment
- 3x12-hour shifts (Saturday to Monday, 7:30 AM 8:00 PM)
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years experience in CT imaging
- ARRT (CT) Certification, TX MRT license, and BLS (AHA only) required
- Comprehensive understanding of CT procedures, radiation safety, and dose management
- Proven ability to work effectively with minimal supervision and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Skill in patient communication and compassionate care spanning newborn to geriatric populations
- Knowledgeable in iSTAT point-of-care testing for creatinine levels
- Caribbean Blue scrubs required
Key Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality, timely CT scans according to exam protocols for ambulatory and in-patient populations
- Educate and reassure patients and their families before, during, and after procedures
- Maintain radiation safety standards and proper infection control protocols
- Prepare exam rooms and equipment, ensuring optimal operational capability and cleanliness
- Document relevant imaging data, patient histories, and consent information in compliance with departmental policies
- Collaborate with engineers and report equipment issues to management
- Mentor new staff as a preceptor when requested
