Job Description

An opportunity is available for a skilled Cardiac Cath Lab Technician to support imaging procedures in a dynamic healthcare environment. This role requires proficiency in cardiac catheterization lab techniques and the ability to work collaboratively with cardiologists and imaging specialists to deliver high-quality patient care.

Location: Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania

Schedule/Hours:

  • Days, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday
  • Call required every third weekend, approximately 10-13 days per month

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist cardiologists and imaging teams by performing cardiac catheterization lab procedures accurately and efficiently
  • Scrub and circulate during cardiac cath procedures with strict adherence to safety protocols
  • Utilize critical thinking and sound judgment during imaging studies
  • Ensure timely completion of studies according to direction from the Cardiologist, Chief Technologist, or Director of Imaging Services

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • 1-2 years of experience in a cardiac cath lab setting
  • Minimum of 1 year travel experience in a similar role preferred
  • Certification by ARRT, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) required
  • Electrophysiology (EP) experience is a plus but not mandatory

Additional Information: This contract position spans approximately 13 weeks and offers an engaging work schedule with a strong emphasis on patient-focused imaging techniques. The role supports both scrubbing and circulating duties during cardiac catheterization procedures. Strong critical thinking and judgment skills are essential to excel in this position.
