Job Description
Advance your career in cardiac imaging by supporting cutting-edge catheterization and electrophysiology procedures in a dynamic hospital environment. This full time, contract position calls for a skilled technologist to deliver quality imaging and collaborative care in a busy cath lab setting.
Schedule:
- 4 days per week
- 10-hour shifts
Key Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited Radiology Technology program, Associates degree in a healthcare field, or equivalent required
- Bachelors degree preferred
- Must have electrophysiology (EP) experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA required; PALS if independently working with pediatric patients
- At least one of the following certifications is preferred: RCIS, RCES, RCS by CCI; Radiography (R), CI, CV, or VI by ARRT; AB RDMS, OB/GYN RDMS, AE RDCS, or RVT by ARDMS
- Texas state licensure (MRT or LMRT by TMB) as applicable
- Acute care experience (0-1 year preferred)
Core Responsibilities:
- Set up, maintain, and operate essential cath lab equipment (X-Ray, IVUS, ICE, contrast injectors, hemodynamic monitors, etc.)
- Support cardiac procedures by preparing the lab, ensuring proper documentation, image acquisition, and accurate recording of measurements
- Serve as the teams resource for radiation safety during X-ray usage
- Adhere to aseptic technique and patient safety protocols throughout procedures
- Work in partnership with physicians, nurses, and technical staff to secure optimal patient outcomes and departmental efficiency
- Assist with inventory, supply management, patient transport, and overall unit upkeep
- Participate in continuous learning and teamwork, and support processes aimed at achieving Magnet status
