Job Description

Step into a vital role supporting cardiac catheterization procedures as a Cath Lab Tech for a full-time contract assignment. This position is key in ensuring smooth operations and optimal patient care within the cath lab, especially with a strong focus on electrophysiology (EP) procedures. Youll work closely with a collaborative medical team, maintaining high standards of safety, accuracy, and efficiency throughout every case.

Schedule:

  • Four days per week
  • 10-hour shifts

Desired Qualifications:

  • Graduate from an accredited Radiology Technology program, associates degree in a healthcare field, or equivalent is required
  • Bachelors degree preferred
  • EP experience is a must
  • 0-1 year acute care experience preferred
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through AHA (required)
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification through AHA (required)
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification through AHA required to work independently at pediatric facilities
  • Preferred certifications include: RCIS, RCES, RCS by CCI; ARRT (R, CI, CV, VI); ARDMS (AB, OB/GYN, AE, RVT)
  • Texas State Licensure: MRT or LMRT by TMB

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and operate imaging and digital acquisition equipment for cath lab procedures
  • Ensure accurate documentation of patient data and hemodynamic measurements
  • Maintain strict aseptic techniques and uphold infection control practices
  • Partner with the team to ensure proper equipment, supplies, and patient positioning
  • Act as a radiation safety representative during imaging procedures
  • Engage in proactive safety and quality control measures
  • Collaborate and communicate with all members of the care team
