As a Cath Lab Tech here, youll enhance your skillset by working alongside established cardiology teams, gaining insights into diverse leadership styles and the latest interventional technologies.
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 10-hour shifts (40 hours/week)
- On-call 1014 days per schedule, including some weekends and holidays
- No standard weekend shifts, but weekend call is required
- 13-week assignment
Navigate complex diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures, support emergency cases, and deliver high-quality patient care in both cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology labs. This role is ideal for someone eager to broaden their clinical expertise, manage advanced procedures, and add valuable experiences to their resume in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications:
- Associate of Science degree or completion of a Cardiovascular Tech program
- Minimum 1 year experience in cath lab, interventional radiology (IR), or electrophysiology (EP)
- Proficient with Impella devices
- Experience in structural heart cases (TAVR, Watchman/Amulet, PFO, Mitral Clip)
- Skilled in implanted medical devices (PPM, IABP), ICDs, and ablation procedures
- Active ARRT(R) license
- Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist (CMRT), Texas Department of Health
- BLS/ACLS certified via American Heart Association
- Experience with EPIQ ultrasound equipment
- COVID-19 vaccination or UTMB-approved exemption required
Responsibilities:
- Assist credentialed cardiologists/electrophysiologists in cardiac, vascular, and interventional procedures
- Perform emergency interventions with confidence and care
- Strictly follow established clinical protocols and safety standards
