As a travel Cath Lab Tech, youll gain invaluable exposure to advanced cardiovascular procedures in a state-of-the-art, fast-paced unit. Schedule/Hours:
- Every other weekend on call
- Alternating on-call nights during the week
- 30-minute response time requirement for callbacks
Key Qualifications:
- Proficient in IABP and Impella operation
- Strong interventional Cath Lab experience (peripheral/coronary)
- ACLS certification required
- Experience with EMR (Meditech)
- Ability to circulate and scrub on heart caths, interventions, and device placements
- Preferred: Skills in electrophysiology, venous/arterial peripheral procedures
Typical Responsibilities:
- Assist MD with diagnostic and interventional cardiology procedures (e.g., pacemakers, AICDs, Watchman, EP ablations)
- Operate and maintain advanced equipment (IABP, Impella, IVUS, FFR)
- Ensure timely patient throughput and maintain 1:1 patient ratios
- Float to IR, ICU, or PACU when qualified
- Comply with all unit protocols and maintain professional attire (navy scrubs)
