Job Description

A healthcare opportunity is available for experienced professionals skilled in Cath Lab imaging technology and procedures. This contract position requires proven expertise in circulating and scrub roles within the cardiac catheterization lab environment. Candidates must demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of cardiac catheterization equipment and procedures.

Location:
This role is based in Oxnard, CA, with the clinical worksite situated within a renowned health systems cardiac catheterization labs located in Thousand Oaks, CA. The unit features state-of-the-art GE and Philips labs along with Mac Lab/Cardiolab technology, supporting advanced cardiac and structural heart interventions.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform and assist in complex cardiac catheterization procedures including left/right heart catheterizations, angioplasty, stenting, IVUS, ICE, atherectomy, and advanced electrophysiology procedures such as atrial fibrillation ablations and lead extractions.
  • Provide circulator nursing support or scrub technologist assistance during procedures, ensure efficient use of equipment and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Support structural heart procedures including TAVR, TMVR, Tricuspid valve repair, LAAC (Watchman), and PFO/ASD closures.
  • Collaborate with RNs and radiologic technologists as part of a dynamic team, maintaining high standards of patient care and communication.
  • Participate in pre/post procedure care in coordination with the Cardiovascular Observation Unit, as needed.
  • Adhere to unit dress code and policies; scrubs may be hospital-provided or personal.
  • Maintain flexibility for a rotating schedule involving 10-hour shifts from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional weekend and on-call duties.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Registered Nurse license (Circulator role) or Registered Radiologic Technologist license with fluoroscopy and ARRT certifications required.
  • Demonstrated cath lab circulating and scrub experience essential; candidates without these qualifications will not be considered.
  • Experience with Mac Lab/Cardiolab is preferred.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a collaborative, positive team approach.

Schedule:

  • 10-hour shifts: 6:30 AM 5:00 PM
  • One weekend per month and one night call per week
