Job Description
Advance your career in a dynamic cardiac environment as a Cath Lab Technologist, working in a state-of-the-art interventional unit within a renowned acute care hospital in Central Florida. This contract opportunity focuses on supporting high-acuity procedures with the latest technology in a collaborative setting.
Schedule:
- 7:00 AM 4:30 PM shifts
- 4x10 or 5x8 hour days, with late stays and on-call rotation
Qualifications:
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- ARRT or RCIS certification (or ability to obtain within three years if not ARRT-registered as a Radiologic Technologist)
- Advanced competency in at least two: circulating, scrubbing, or monitoring procedures within Cath/EP labs
- Experience supporting procedures such as TAVR, Watchman, PCI, peripherals, Impella, and Balloon Pump
- Ability to work collaboratively with directors, charge nurses, and a skilled interdisciplinary team
- Strong documentation skills in Mac Lab and MediTech or similar systems
Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain advanced equipment including GE Flouro, Mac Lab, Acist, Volcano, IVUS, Angiojet, and Penumbra systems
- Ensure safe and effective patient care for diverse cardiac interventions and electrophysiology procedures
- Support efficient workflow in a unit featuring 2 Cath labs, 1 EP lab, and a dedicated holding area
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered care, upholding hospital values and ensuring a positive patient experience
- Flexibly float to holding, EP lab, or related areas within scope when needed
- Adhere to hospital dress code (scrubs provided) and all unit-specific guidelines and protocols
