Step into a pivotal role in advanced cardiac imaging, supporting vital catheterization lab procedures on a contract basis. Seeking an experienced professional with a strong foundation in Cath Lab Tech responsibilities to deliver high-quality care and technical expertise.
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday
- 13-week contract starting 6/15
- One call-back shift per week
- One weekend call shift every 6 weeks
Qualifications:
- Current ARRT certification required
- Valid IEMA license is essential
- Current CPR certification
- Previous Cath Lab Tech experience; Imaging focus preferred
- Demonstrated proficiency with GE imaging equipment
- Skilled in starting IVs and providing technical support during interventional cardiology procedures
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and operate GE imaging equipment throughout diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures
- Assist interventional cardiologists and RNs with all aspects of catheterization lab operations
- Monitor patients vital signs and assist with patient care before, during, and after procedures
- Accurately record procedural data and maintain documentation in accordance with hospital protocol
- Respond efficiently to scheduled and unscheduled call-backs, including occasional weekend shifts
- Uphold infection control practices and maintain a safe, compliant care environment
