An opportunity is available for an experienced Cath Lab Technician skilled in cardiac imaging to contribute your expertise in a dynamic healthcare environment. This contract position offers a chance to work in a specialized cardiac catheterization lab, applying your knowledge to assist in critical cardiovascular procedures and patient care.
Location: This role is based in Milwaukee, WI, a vibrant city known for its rich cultural heritage, beautiful lakefront, and diverse dining and entertainment options. Milwaukee offers a blend of urban excitement and Midwestern charm, making it a desirable place to live and work.
Responsibilities:
- Assist cardiologists during cardiac catheterization procedures and other interventional imaging techniques.
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment, ensuring high-quality diagnostic images are produced.
- Monitor patients vital signs and assist with patient preparation and recovery in the cath lab setting.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain sterile environments.
- Float onsite within your skill set or to satellite locations within a 40-mile radius as needed.
Qualifications:
- RCIS certification required.
- Minimum of 2 years experience working in a cardiac cath lab.
- Ability to work varied shifts with changing start and end times.
- Flexibility to respond to call duties, including weekday night shifts and every fourth weekend coverage.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Schedule:
- Four days per week with shifts that may vary in start and end times.
- Call responsibilities approximately 1-2 weeknight shifts (1700-0600) and every 4th weekend (Friday 1700 to Monday 0600).
- Holiday coverage on call as needed.
