Job Description
An exciting contract opportunity is available for an experienced Cath Lab Technologist to contribute skilled imaging expertise in a dynamic procedural environment. This role offers the chance to work alongside top physicians, utilize advanced technology, and support cutting-edge cardiovascular procedures.
Schedule/Hours:
- Four 10-hour shifts each week
- Expected to work every other weekend and rotate holidays
- On-call requirement includes participation on a two-call team rotation, approximately 15-18 days per month
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum of one year recent Cath Lab experience
- Active certification: RCIS, RCES, or RT(R)
- Current ACLS and BLS credentials
- Proficiency in scrubbing for LHC/RHC, PCI, STEMI, peripheral procedures
- Ability to monitor patients throughout procedures
- Flexible and willing to float to prep/recovery areas as needed
- Comfortable using MacLab and Meditech documentation systems
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with advanced equipment: GE Innova, OCT, Boston IVUS, Impella, IABP, RotoPro, CSI, Penumbra
- Familiarity with procedure types including diagnostic left heart caths, PCIs, carotid stenting, and peripheral interventions
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with a variety of cardiovascular, neurovascular, and peripheral vascular procedures
- Ensure patient safety and accurate documentation throughout all stages
- Collaborate in a multidisciplinary team with dedicated charge nurse support
- Maintain high standards in accordance with facility best practices and awards, including GWTG recognitions
