An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced professional skilled in cardiac catheterization laboratory procedures. This contract position offers the chance to work in a specialized medical imaging environment, supporting high-quality patient care and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid certification or registry as a Cath Lab Technologist (RCIS, ARRT, or equivalent)
- Prior experience working in a cardiac catheterization lab performing diagnostic and interventional procedures
- In-depth knowledge of fluoroscopy, hemodynamic monitoring, and sterile techniques
- Strong understanding of EKG interpretation and vascular access
- Ability to maintain composure in high-pressure situations and respond quickly to emergencies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient care and team collaboration
- Current BLS and ACLS certification
Schedule:
- Full-time hours, details to be provided during interview process
Primary Responsibilities:
- Prepare, operate, and maintain imaging and monitoring equipment for cardiac procedures
- Assist physicians during catheterizations, angioplasties, stent placements, and other cardiovascular interventions
- Monitor patient status and respond to acute changes throughout procedures
- Ensure strict adherence to safety and infection control protocols
- Document all relevant patient and procedural information accurately
- Maintain inventory of supplies and ensure readiness of the laboratory for each case
