Job Description

Step into an essential role supporting advanced cardiac procedures as a Cath Lab Tech in a dynamic imaging department. This contract position offers the opportunity to collaborate with experienced healthcare professionals and impact patient care in a specialized environment.

Schedule/Hours:

  • Full-time, 40 hours per week (four 10-hour shifts)
  • Rotating on-call commitment
  • Flexibility to cover two out of three major winter holidays as needed

Required Qualifications:

  • Current certification as RCIS or ARRT (NY State license required if ARRT)
  • BLS certification
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
  • Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Certification
  • Minimum of 3 years of OB experience strongly preferred
  • Skilled in imaging support for cath lab procedures; adept at anticipating team needs in fast-paced scenarios
  • Ability to adapt to evolving procedural schedules and collaborate well with multidisciplinary staff

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist during diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures
  • Prepare and maintain sterile environments in the cath lab
  • Work closely with physicians, who will operate the X-ray equipment
  • Accurately document procedural details and patient data
  • Provide high-level support for patient safety and comfort throughout the procedure
  • Participate in a rotating on-call schedule, including potential holiday coverage
  • Demonstrate strong communication and critical thinking abilities in urgent or emergent situations
