Job Description
A specialized role for a Cardiovascular Invasive Technician is available in Lakeway, TX, offering a 13-week travel assignment with a reputable healthcare organization. This position supports complex cardiovascular procedures in the Cath Lab, including diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations, pacemaker implantations, and thrombolytic therapies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist physicians during cardiovascular invasive procedures including arteriograms, peripheral and coronary interventions.
- Prepare and maintain sterile fields and catheterization lab equipment.
- Monitor patient's ECG and vital signs, provide emergency interventions such as CPR and defibrillation when necessary.
- Perform pre- and post-procedure patient care and transport.
- Document procedural data and maintain accurate medical records.
- Manage inventory and ensure equipment safety and readiness.
- Adhere strictly to radiation protection standards for patients and staff.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Certification in MRT, ARRT, or RCIS required.
- Current BLS (AHA Only) and ACLS (AHA Only) certifications mandatory.
- Minimum of 2 years of Cath Lab tech experience; IR and EP experience is a plus.
- Proficient computer skills and ability to operate basic office equipment.
- Strong understanding of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology, and invasive cardiac and vascular techniques.
- Demonstrated capability in multitasking, problem-solving, and precision in clinical settings.
Schedule:
- Four 10-hour shifts per week (7:00 AM 5:30 PM), Monday through Friday.
- On-call duties required.
