Job Description
Support advanced cardiac catheterization procedures in a fast-paced cath lab environment that values precision, patient safety, and team collaboration. This role demands strong expertise in electrophysiology (EP) and the ability to operate and maintain sophisticated imaging and diagnostic equipment essential to cardiac diagnostics and interventions. The position focuses on optimizing procedural efficiency, ensuring accurate patient documentation, and adhering to stringent safety and aseptic standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain cath lab equipment including fluoroscopy imaging, digital acquisition, IVUS, ICE, and hemodynamic monitoring systems.
- Serve as radiation safety representative during procedures involving X-ray.
- Assist physicians during EP and other cardiac catheterization procedures by anticipating needs and ensuring safe patient positioning.
- Maintain proper documentation of patient data, hemodynamic measurements, and procedure details.
- Adhere strictly to aseptic technique and organizational patient safety protocols.
- Collaborate closely with the cath lab team and lead to ensure smooth operation and patient-centered care.
- Participate in daily equipment checks, supply stocking, and ongoing skills competency development.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technology program or equivalent healthcare educational background; Bachelors degree preferred.
- 0-1 year acute care experience preferred.
- Required certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) for pediatric facility assignments.
- Preferred certifications include Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS), Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES), or other related credentials.
- State licensure (e.g., Texas MRT or LMRT) as applicable.
- Must have experience specifically in Electrophysiology (EP).

Schedule:
- Four 10-hour shifts per week.
