Job Description
Step into a dynamic role as a Cath Lab Technologist, where your expertise in both imaging and electrophysiology (EP) will directly support vital cardiac catheterization procedures. In this critical position, you'll work closely with a collaborative clinical team to prepare and operate state-of-the-art imaging equipment, uphold rigorous standards of safety, and ensure exemplary documentation of patient data throughout each procedure.
Schedule:
- 4 days per week
- 10-hour shifts
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technology program or associate degree in a healthcare-related field (required); bachelors degree preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS, AHA) certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS, AHA) certification
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS, AHA) required for independent work in pediatric facilities
- State of Texas MRT or LMRT licensure, as applicable
- At least one of the following preferred certifications: RCIS, RCES, RCS (CCI); ARRT (R, CI, CV, VI); ARDMS (AB, OB/GYN, AE, RVT)
- 0-1 year of experience in acute care preferred
- Demonstrated proficiency in electrophysiology (EP) procedures required
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare cath lab and equipment for procedures, ensuring readiness and compliance with safety standards
- Operate imaging systems as directed by physicians, capturing high-quality fluoro and digital images
- Maintain aseptic technique and patient safety throughout all procedures
- Accurately document patient information, procedure details, and hemodynamic data
- Function as a radiation safety lead for patients and staff
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize workflow and patient care
- Participate in daily lab checks, supply management, and ongoing team education
