Job Description

Seeking a skilled Cath Lab Technician with 2+ years of experience to support cardiac catheterization procedures in a busy cardiac cath lab. This contract position offers a schedule of Monday through Friday with options for standard 8:00 a.m. 4:30 p.m. shifts or four 10-hour days from 7:00 a.m. 5:30 p.m., totaling 40 guaranteed hours per week. Candidates must be prepared for on-call responsibilities including weekend and holiday coverage.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform imaging and assist in cardiac catheterization procedures utilizing cath lab equipment.
  • Provide care for outpatient, inpatient, and emergent cardiac patients under high-acuity settings with a 1:1 patient ratio.
  • Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team to deliver safe and efficient patient care.
  • Maintain accurate documentation using electronic medical records.
  • Adhere to unit protocols and participate in orientation including EPIC Cupid system training.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2-3 years of Cath Lab Tech experience.
  • Rad Tech State Licensure and ARRT Certification required.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Proven ability to function well in team-based environments.
  • Flexibility to float to a nearby cath lab as needed.

Location: Position is based in Hammond, Indiana, at a cardiac cath lab equipped with advanced technology serving a small unit with two beds. The facility provides a professional but friendly atmosphere supporting both emergent and routine cardiac care. Parking and front entrance details will be provided on the first day for a smooth onboarding.

This opportunity is a contract role offering valuable hands-on experience in a cardiac specialty area. Scrubs are supplied, with a professional dress code emphasizing blue attire.
