Job Description
Step into an advanced cardiac imaging environment focused on excellence in patient outcomes. This contract opportunity calls for an experienced Cath Lab Tech, skilled in both monitoring and scrubbing for complex cardiac and peripheral procedures, to support a high-acuity team. Work within a hospital recognized for its achievements in cardiovascular careincluding GWTG Awards for CAD, Mission Lifeline, Afib, and CHFand gain experience with the latest imaging technologies.
Schedule/Hours:
- 4 shifts per week, 10 hours each
- Participation in on-call rotation (approx. 15-18 days/month with 2 call teams)
- Every other weekend and holiday rotation with staff
- Floating to prep/recovery areas as needed
Key Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of recent Cath Lab experience
- Valid certification: RCIS, RCES, or RT(R)
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications
- Proficiency with GE Innova, OCT, Boston IVUS, Impella, IABP, RotoPro, CSI, Penumbra
- Familiarity with MacLab/Meditech documentation systems
- Ability to scrub and monitor for LHC, RHC, PCI, STEMI, peripherals
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills
- Ceil blue scrubs required (provided by the facility)
Role Responsibilities:
- Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional procedures, including left heart caths, PCI, STEMI, stroke, peripheral diagnostics, and interventions
- Monitor patient status and document care using hospital systems
- Support patient prep and recovery workflow
- Maintain compliance with all regulatory and hospital quality standards
- Collaborate closely with a team of 5-10 cardiologists and a dedicated Charge Nurse
