Job Description

A healthcare facility in Goshen, IN is seeking a skilled Cath Lab Technician for a contract position supporting an acute care hospital with 244 staffed beds and a Level III Trauma designation. This role is well-suited for candidates with at least one year of experience in cardiac catheterization labs, including those newly entering the field or those with pending state licenses (must be active by start). Preference is given to RCIS credential holders; however, it is not mandatory.

The position offers a consistent 40-hour workweek with shift options of either 4 ten-hour days or 5 eight-hour days. Typical start times are between 6:00 AM and 7:00 AM. The call schedule includes every third weekend plus 1-2 additional on-call days per week, with holiday on-call coverage required. Technicians proficient in Interventional Radiology may have floating opportunities. Travelers benefit from a flexible call-off policy allowing up to two call absences per assignment without penalty.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform imaging and catheterization procedures within the Cath Lab
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to support patient care
  • Maintain accurate documentation via Cerner electronic charting system
  • Adhere to safety and infection control practices while wearing designated blue scrubs
  • Respond to call requirements as scheduled

Desired Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of Cath Lab technical experience
  • Active state license or ability to activate license by assignment start
  • RCIS certification preferred but not required
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Flexibility to work scheduled shifts and on-call responsibilities
