Job Description

An opportunity for an experienced Cath Lab Technician is available in a cardiac catheterization lab setting, supporting outpatient, inpatient, and emergent cardiac care. This contract position is based in Gary, IN, with work primarily at a nearby Dyer location offering a collaborative and team-oriented environment.

Location:
This role operates out of a modern cardiac cath lab in Dyer, IN, just a short distance from Gary. The site features advanced cardiac care technology and a small, focused unit to provide personalized care, maintaining a 1:1 patient ratio. The facility is accessible, with front entrance parking guidance provided on the first day.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Perform diagnostic imaging and cardiac catheterization procedures in the cath lab
  • Collaborate with nursing and medical staff to support patient care, ensuring safety and accuracy
  • Maintain and operate cath lab equipment following protocols
  • Respond to emergent and routine patients with professionalism and efficiency
  • Participate in call rotations, holiday coverage, and float assignments to a nearby cath lab when needed
  • Complete orientation and training modules including EPIC Cupid system

Qualifications and Experience:

  • 2-3 years experience as a Cath Lab Technician with proficiency in cardiac imaging and cath lab procedures
  • Required certifications include Rad Tech State Licensure, ARRT Certification, and BLS
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with either 8-4:30 p.m. or four 10-hour day shifts (7-5:30 p.m.)
  • Team-oriented approach and professional demeanor consistent with a blue scrub dress code

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. or four 10-hour days from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
  • On-call and holiday coverage required
