Schedule/Hours
- Monday through Friday, 10-hour shifts (40 hours per week)
- On-call required 1014 days per schedule, including weekends and holidays
- No regular weekend shifts, but weekend call is part of the role
Responsibilities
- Deliver expert patient care and technical support for cardiac catheterization, vascular, and interventional procedures
- Assist with high-acuity procedures such as Impella, structural heart interventions (TAVR, Watchman/Amulet, PFO, Mitral Clip), ICD/PPM/IABP device placements, and ablation procedures
- Handle emergency interventions swiftly under the guidance of invasive cardiologists or electrophysiologists
- Utilize advanced imaging equipment, including the EPIQ ultrasound machine
- Accurately document procedures in Epic (Cupid for Echo, Vascular, Heart Station, and Ep Tech)
- Adhere to the highest standards of safety, quality, and patient privacy
Qualifications
- Associate of Science degree or completion of a Cardiovascular Tech program
- Minimum of one year experience in relevant procedural areas (Cath, IR, EP) with proficiency in circulating and scrubbing
- Current ARRT(R) license
- Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist (CMRT) Texas Department of Health
- Current BLS/ACLS certifications via American Heart Association
- Demonstrated experience with Impella, advanced structural heart cases, and a variety of implanted cardiac devices
- Covid vaccination or documented medical/religious exemption prior to orientation
