Job Description

This opportunity calls for an experienced Cath Lab Technologist to support a busy cardiac catheterization team in Fairbanks, AK. The role requires a highly skilled professional with strong scrub and monitoring expertise, capable of delivering comprehensive pre- and post-operative care to cardiac patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform scrub and monitoring duties in the catheterization lab.
  • Provide thorough pre- and post-op patient care including assisting with lead placement, marking pulses, shaving, and defibrillator pad placement.
  • Participate in patient transport from check-in through recovery and transition care.
  • Assist with TR band deflation and occasional sheath removal after hours.
  • Collaborate closely with nursing staff and physicians to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Support technology troubleshooting and provide supply recommendations during backorders or recalls.
  • Utilize expertise with Siemens systems and Xper imaging technology to optimize lab performance.
  • Participate in weekend call rotations (approximately 10-12 shifts per month) and holiday on-call duties.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years recent Cath Lab Technologist experience with travel assignments preferred.
  • Proven scrub and patient monitoring skills required.
  • ARRT certification preferred; RCIS and BLS certifications also accepted.
  • 3+ years experience and peripheral vascular skills are highly advantageous.
  • Familiarity with Siemens imaging systems and Xper technology is a significant plus.
  • Ability to provide technical troubleshooting and proactive supply management.

Schedule:

  • Full-time, 40 hours per week
  • Days, 10-hour shifts (6:00 AM 4:30 PM)
  • Weekend and holiday on-call rotation required
