Job Description

A specialized opportunity is available for an experienced Cath Lab Tech to support cardiovascular imaging and assist in catheterization procedures. This 26-week contract role is based in Ester, AK, offering hands-on involvement in patient prep, monitoring, and post-operative care within a dynamic cath lab environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform pre- and post-operative duties including patient transport, lead placement, pulse marking, shaving, and assistance with defibrillator pad placement.
  • Support TR band deflation and post-procedure patient care including sheath pull assistance when required.
  • Collaborate closely with nurses and physicians to transition patients smoothly through care stages.
  • Troubleshoot imaging technology and provide guidance on supply management during backorders and recalls.
  • Utilize expertise in Siemens imaging systems and Xper software during daily operations.
  • Participate in weekend on-call rotations, covering 10-12 call shifts monthly.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years recent experience as a Cath Lab Tech with travel assignments preferred.
  • Proficient in scrubbing and patient monitoring in cath lab settings.
  • Preferred 3+ years experience with strong peripheral vascular procedure knowledge.
  • ARRT certification preferred; RCIS and BLS certification required.
  • Ability to handle technology troubleshooting and equipment supply advisory roles.
  • Competency with Siemens equipment and Xper software is highly valued.

Schedule:

  • Full-time, 40 hours per week
  • 10-hour day shifts from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM
  • Weekend and holiday on-call rotations
