An opportunity is available for a skilled Cardiac Cath Lab Technician specializing in advanced imaging procedures. This contract position is based at a well-established healthcare facility in Edna, TX, providing essential cardiac diagnostic services. The role requires technical expertise and critical thinking skills to assist cardiologists effectively in the Cath Lab environment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform cardiac catheterization imaging studies promptly under the supervision of the Cardiologist, Chief Technologist, or Director of Imaging Services.
- Utilize specialized equipment, including EMR systems like MedHost and MacLab, to document and manage patient information accurately.
- Maintain a 1:1 patient ratio, ensuring dedicated and focused care during each procedure.
- Adhere to provided protocols, including proper scrub attire and safety guidelines.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support patient diagnosis and treatment plans.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current RCIS certification required.
- Valid BLS and ACLS certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted).
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a cardiac cath lab or related imaging role.
- Ability to respond promptly to call shifts every other week (7 days).
- Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility for eligibility.
- Must provide required personal details upon application for credential verification.
Shift and Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, day shift.
- Call rotation every other week with no 48-hour option or block scheduling.
- Maximum return-to-office time frame of 3 days post-call.
