This role requires specialized expertise as a Cath Lab Tech skilled in imaging within a cardiac catheterization lab setting. The position is based in Dyer, Indiana, offering a contract opportunity with predictable weekday hours and on-call duties.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Rad Tech State Licensure and ARRT certification required
- Current BLS certification
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience working as a Cath Lab Tech
- Competency in cardiac catheterization procedures and relevant imaging techniques
- Ability to work effectively in team-oriented environments
- Flexible availability for on-call and holiday coverage
- Experience with outpatient, inpatient, and emergent cardiac patients preferred
Location: Situated in Dyer, IN, this facility operates a specialized cardiac cath lab with a 2-bed unit, maintaining a 1:1 patient ratio to ensure close patient monitoring and care. The unit is equipped with state-of-the-art cath lab technology and utilizes EMR systems, including EPIC Cupid, with required orientation and training provided. Employees will report to the front entrance on their first day for onboarding and parking instructions.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Perform imaging and assist physicians during cardiac catheterization procedures
- Prepare and maintain cath lab equipment and sterile environments
- Monitor patient vitals and assist in emergent interventions as needed
- Document procedures and patient data accurately in EMR systems
- Participate in orientation and mandatory education modules before starting
- Respond to on-call demands and support weekend/holiday coverage
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. or 10-hour shifts from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., four days per week
- 40 guaranteed hours weekly
- On-call and holiday coverage required
