A healthcare facility in Dunnellon, FL is seeking a skilled Cath Lab Technologist with at least 2 years of experience to support their cardiac catheterization lab. This contract position offers a consistent schedule of four 10-hour shifts, with additional 1-2 overnight call shifts per week and one weekend call every five weeks. The role involves direct patient care in invasive cardiovascular procedures and requires the ability to scrub in on cases involving specialized equipment such as Impella and balloon pumps.
Key Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab experience
- Current RCIS or ARRT license
- Experience scrubbing Cath Lab cases, including Impella and Balloon Pumps
- Strong knowledge of sterile technique and cardiovascular anatomy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Schedule:
- Four 10-hour shifts, 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM
- 1-2 overnight call shifts per week
- Weekend call required once every five weeks
- Overtime must be pre-approved
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain the catheterization lab for procedures
- Scrub, assist, and support physicians during invasive cardiac procedures
- Monitor patient status and equipment function during procedures
- Maintain strict adherence to sterile technique and safety protocols
- Assist with inventory and equipment maintenance
