Join a progressive cardiovascular catheterization lab located in Denham Springs, LA, offering a challenging contract opportunity for an experienced Cath Lab Technologist. This role demands a highly skilled professional able to work independently and confidently across all cardiac cath lab procedures with a strong patient-focused mindset.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a Cath Lab setting; first-time travelers will not be considered.
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, ARRT(R), and LSRTBE state license (temporary license can be obtained within 14 days; application required within 48 hours of contract signing).
- Proficient in embolization, coiling, ablations, and implant procedures including ports, pacemakers, and ICDs.
- Skilled in advanced devices and techniques including Impella, IABP, IVUS, Shockwave, Rotoblator, laser, and thrombectomy.
- Experience managing STEMI care with a focus on first-to-balloon/delivery time under 60 minutes.
- Capable of performing peripheral and electrophysiology (EP) procedures confidently.
Responsibilities:
- Perform cardiac, peripheral, vascular diagnostic and interventional procedures with state-of-the-art equipment including Siemens and Cannon imaging systems.
- Collaborate with a highly efficient Code STEMI team renowned for fast door-to-balloon times.
- Maintain documentation in EPIC with Cupid.
- Participate in weekend coverage every other weekend and be available for call up to three times weekly with a 30-minute response time.
- Support and contribute to teamwork and mentoring within the lab.
Schedule:
- Day shifts, 5 days per week, 8-10 hour shifts (typically 06:45 - 15:15).
- Weekend rotation and weekday call shifts as required.
