A specialized role is available for an experienced Imaging Cath Lab Technician to support cardiovascular procedures within a dynamic cardiac catheterization environment. Located in Cypress, TX, this contract position is based in a well-equipped cardiac cath lab featuring two procedure rooms staffed by a skilled team of RNs and cath lab techs. The role is centered on performing and assisting with a variety of cardiac procedures using state-of-the-art Phillips and Siemens fluoroscopy equipment and documentation via MERGE Hemo and Meditech systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in a full spectrum of cardiac procedures including left and right heart catheterizations, pacemaker/ICD implants, watchman device placement, interventional radiology procedures, vascular access, and electrophysiology ablations.
• Utilize and maintain proficiency in cath lab equipment and technology.
• Follow all procedural guidelines including universal precautions, timeout procedures, and moderated sedation protocols.
• Work within a patient-centric team, maintaining efficient patient ratios during procedures.
• Adhere to hospital dress code with provided scrub attire (sky blue).

Qualifications:

• Required certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
• Preferred: Experience in electrophysiology procedures.
• Proven ability to act as a flexible team player comfortable in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Schedule:

• Day shifts primarily, with one full weekend and two weekdays scheduled per four-week rotation.
• On-call responsibilities for night shifts with coverage by designated staff.
